Not only was last weekend the NRL Grand Final but it was also the Koori Knockout. Thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people actively participate in, engage in and LOVE Rugby League.
The cultural competency or lack thereof, of the people who work in and around Rugby League is astounding. If we consider how much Rugby League Teams rely on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players and supporters, I’m continuously surprised (and not) of just how happily ignorant the White Rugby League community remain.
