Deadly Runners update – week 2

It’s week 2 on the Deadly Runners program. Last week was 60secs run + 90secs walk x 8. And this week it’s 90secs run + 120secs walk x 6.

And woah. For the last run, Deb literally pulled me along. I so couldn’t do it – but in the end I did. Talk about chest burster though!!

I asked Toni if there was anything else we should do, because while I trust in the program I CANNOT believe that in 6 weeks I’ll be running non-stop for 30 minutes. I CANNOT believe it. But she said no. It’s all good – there’s no need.

We have another Fat Girls Hiking walk coming up at the end of this month so I’ll just do that and the usual stuff in between.

Toni asked us tonight why we were walking – we wrote it on a piece of card. For me it’s “I’m nearly 50 and I want to do a fun run before it’s too late”. And it’s true. That’s the reason – I’ve set myself this #Countdownto50 project and that’s why I’m doing it.

What an amazing experience this is. I’m so grateful.
