Last week we marched, and tomorrow we march again in solidarity with Aboriginal communities across Australia.

I didn't know the rally was on but I saw it. It was a great turn-out outside a City Hall. Huge crowd. Three worlds collided in and around a City Hall that eve; Peter Greste had a reception, Women's Legal Service held a key fundraising night inside and those not involved in the two events stood yet again for recognition, respect and diplomacy for families in remote areas. I went inside to the Women's Legal service event. I had been to UQ that day and listened to highly respected academics talk about how ATSI kids are positioned in schools. Seeing the crowd made me feel very overwhelmed. Funny how things happen 'for a reason'.
