So last week at my what I’m now calling Food Friday, I posted about the sweet Impossible Pie. Guess what?!? There’s a savoury version too.
This recipe, like the last one is a throw ingredients in a bowl, mix well, pour in tins and cook.
I’ve made it a few times since then and I never use the same amount of ingredients and I grab whatever is in the fridge. But basically it looks like:
1/4 cup Onion (finely chopped)
1 cup Zucchini (grated)
1 cup Carrot (grated)
1 cup Bacon (finely chopped)
1 cup Cheese (grated)
1 cup Self-Raising Flour
1 1/2 cups Milk
Pour it in tins and cook it in the oven. (Once again, don’t ask me the temperature, just take a not-too-hot/not-too-cold approach). If you want more details, I think I grabbed it from BubHub.
The kids out so much that first night that they were feeling a bit sick. Silly buggers.
It’s great for lunch boxes too. We had a couple of slices with a lovely salad.
