Since I turned forty, I have gradually learned the joy of non-familial female friendship. Working from a home-based business can get isolating. And as much as I enjoy and get satisfaction from my relationship with partner (my life as well as work partner), a person needs a bit of outside stimulation. An anti-climactic Christmas morning

So like most folk with kids, for the past 17 years Christmas morning has been a massive ball of anticipation, excitement and joy (and occasionally disappointment). Movies you must see before you die

A blog post brazenly stolen from Elliot Bledsoe’s 1001 films post, which, from my Wikipedia-ing search comes from one Steven Jay Schneider. I’d like to think this is not so much a braggy post, but a record keeping post. For many of the movies on the list, I think I’ve seen them, but can’t remember. Other’s I can’t recall if I’ve seen the movies or read the books. I hope to update the list, as well as be deliberate in seeking out movies on the list. I Dreamed A Dream I could sing like Ruthie Henshall

I don’t know Les Mis. All I know is that it’s based on a book by Victor Hugo, that it’s set in France during the French Revolution (I think). But the movie is due out this month and Hugh & Rusty are starring in it. Whether you want to or not, it will be hard not to know about the story soon.
